A small, narrow site called for two floors of retail space, with a third floor accommodating the landowner’s law office. The challenge was to make the most of the limited footprint—creating spaces that were functional and usable, while giving the building a distinct identity on the street.

Small sites offer little freedom for architectural expression. The constraints often dictate much of what can be done. Yet, within these limitations, the building has found its own quiet character.

It is not a building that makes a grand statement. It simply works well—and sometimes, that is enough.
